Within the Membership Settings the schedule of events can be managed. The following events can be manually scheduled:
- Reminder of Charge Email
- Charge members
- Retry Charge
- Final Charge Retry
These events can only be scheduled for raffles that have been drafted or activated.
Note: The dates shown above will be defaulted as blank, and when blank the event will not be triggered. For example, if the Retry Charge date is left blank then a retry will not take place if there is a failed payment attempt.
Reminder of Charge Email
This email serves as a reminder to members before the lottery begins, notifying them that they will soon be charged. It is recommended to send this email at least 2 days prior to the lottery start date.
Charge Members
This is the date the member will be charged and receive tickets for participation in the lottery.
Retry Charge
The Retry Charge event is a reattempt to process memberships for members whose payments failed in the initial attempt during the Charge Members event. This field is optional.
Final Charge Retry
This event can be added as a third and final payment attempt (this is only triggered if the previous two attempts have failed). This field is optional.
Add/Edit Event Schedule
To add or edit a date for an event click on the calendar icon to open the calendar and select the date you require (see below).
Clear event schedule
It is possible to clear a scheduled date of an event if it is no longer needed. For example, a final charge retry date was set but it is no longer required to do this.
Note: It is strongly recommended to not clear the dates for the Reminder of Charge Email and Charge Member events. If this is done these events will not occur.
