When you click into the Shopify Email app, you will see any recent emails you’ve sent at the top of the page, which you can use as starting points for new emails
Otherwise, you can click on the Create Email button in the top right corner
If you haven’t yet sent any emails, the best place to start would be with a branded template
There are many more options to choose from if you click the View More button
The templates can also be filtered according to type, if you’re looking for something specific
Modifying a Template
The templates should only be used as a jumping off point, and can be modified in a number of ways
All sections of the email template can be moved around, edited, duplicated, or deleted
Simply drag and drop a section to move it to a different position in the email template
Clicking on the red trash icon to the right of a section will remove it from the template
Clicking on a particular section will open the menu of possible customizations on the right have side of the screen
The section selected in the image below allows for modifications to font style, font size, colors, and alignment, among other things
The text can be modified directly in the section itself
In the bottom right corner, there is an Add Section button
Clicking this will open a menu of all the different section types that can be added to the email template
Select Recipients
At the top of the email editor page, there is a To: field that indicates who will be receiving the current email
By default, it will be set to All Subscribers
Click on All Subscribers to choose a different segment of customers from the dropdown menu
