Admin Portal Setup

Note: The enforce sync feature can only be set and adjusted by Super Admin users.

There are two levels of configurations for the enforce sync feature.

1) New station configuration default - this setting determines if stations are configured with the enforce sync feature enabled or disabled when devices are configured to an admin portal for the first time.

• Login to the admin portal.
• Navigate to Setup > General Settings > Station Syncing.
• Under Station Syncing there is an Enforce Sync field. If set to “Yes”, new stations will utilize this feature by default.

• Navigate to Setup > Setup Stations.
• Select Create Station.
• Enforce Sync will default to the value set previously under General Settings.
  • Enforce sync configuration can be adjusted from the default if needed.

2) Station specific configuration - this setting allows the enforce sync feature to be applied on a station by station basis.

• Navigate to Setup > Setup Stations.
• As required, stations can be uniquely set to utilize the enforce sync feature by adjusting the associated dropdown in the Enforce Sync column.
• Ensure that changes are saved before navigating off the page.

Note: Per station configuration may also be adjusted on the event dashboard.

Expected Station Behaviour

"Enforce Sync" set to "No":

• Stations will function as they currently do, syncing with the server approximately every 30 seconds, so long as they have a strong and stable network connection.
• When sales sync the jackpot will update, reports will reflect transactions recently synced, and new numbers will be allocated to the station to top up Load and Go.

"Enforce Sync" set to "Yes":

• Stations will sync to the server during every sale, prior to ticket printing. This will increase the jackpot and reports will reflect the most recently synced transaction.
• If network connection is unstable and the sale is unable to sync, the station will present the seller with two options: 1) Spoil, 2) Retry.
• Load and go top up is triggered in a separate workflow and is updated approximately every 2 minutes.
